Join the Natural Areas Conservancy and The Forest Park Trust for the Urban Forest Plan Community Walkshop at Forest Park!
This session will take place outdoors as we walk the park’s trails together, reflect on key insights from our Urban Forest Plan workshop, and continue the conversation about the role of forests in our communities.
You do not need to have attended a previous workshop to participate—everyone is welcome to join and share their ideas for the future of the urban forest!

5/8 NAC Urban Forest Plan Community Workshop at Forest Park
NYC’s forests play an important role in the health, safety, and sustainability of our communities—providing clean air, reducing extreme heat, improving mental health, and creating habitat for wildlife. As we work to create a long-term vision for protecting and expanding these natural areas, we want to hear from you!
This workshop, led by the Natural Areas Conservancy and partners, will focus on Queens' forested natural areas, especially Forest Park. Join us for an interactive discussion about the value of these spaces and how the Urban Forest Plan can support their long-term care and community use.

Now included on the Great Trees of NYC list, join Helen Day and Carl Ballenas from the Richmond Hill Historical Society and Ed Wendell from the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society as they provide insight into the memorial oak trees planted in the park almost a century ago.
